CBD Tea: What It Is & Why You Should Try It

What Is CBD Tea?

CBD tea is an infusion of herbs and cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is an ingredient found in cannabis and in hemp plants and is not psychoactive. It has so many great health benefits (check out our blog about them all here) and it paired with herbs is a great way to maximize the health benefits. Most of all it's a great way to enjoy your CBD!

Types of CBD Tea

What's awesome about CBD tea is you can enjoy it in so many different ways and it all depends on what kind of tea the CBD is paired with. At Windansea we have created 3 types of CBD tea: chamomile, mint, and black tea.

Chamomile CBD Tea

Chamomile has been used for centuries as a medicinal remedy. It comes from the Asteraceae flower family and looks a lot like a daisy with white pedals and a yellow center. The benefits of chamomile are endless and that's all thanks to the antioxidant apigenin found in the chamomile flower. Antioxidants help to protect your cells from free radicals which we're exposed to a lot these days and contribute to many serious diseases like heart disease and cancer.

A few of the main benefits of drinking chamomile tea is it helps with sleep (probably the most popular reason people drink it), its anti-bacterial properties make it a great way to boost your immune system, and it helps with stress and anxiety. The list goes on and on. These benefits paired with the benefits of CBD make it a great way to unwind, relax, and sleep easy.

Mint CBD Tea

Mint as a flavor in itself is enjoyable and is a large reason why people drink mint tea. Mint also contains 3 compounds menthone, limonene, and menthol which are the compounds that help relieve stomach issues by aiding in digestion. Because of this mint is used a lot for people with IBS and stomach issues. On top of that, mint is also antibacterial which is why so many tooth pastes and mouth washes contain mint - it's a great way to freshen your breathe!

Aside from that mint also can help with headaches and nasal congestion so next time you're not feeling your best, make yourself a cup of CBD mint tea and relax while the mint tea does its thing.

Black CBD Tea

Black tea is one of the most consumed drinks in the world. The tea has a potent flavor and is often paired with other herbs to create teas like Earl Grey, English Breakfast, and Chai teas. Black tea is also caffeinated unlike the above mentioned chamomile and mint teas so it's a great thing to put on rotation with your coffee or in substitute of coffee. Some known benefits of black tea include its antioxidant properties which aid in disease prevention as well as its ability to help with digestion.

Our organic black tea is combined with whole-plant hemp extract for a simple, exotic and delightfully palatable, full-bodied black tea with a mildly smooth after taste. If you love black tea or want to cash in on some of these amazing health benefits.
