This article will show you a couple of supplements you are not getting from food, but whose benefits have been shown in research.
There is no one-size-fits-all supplement regimen as we are all very different and our bodies require different things.
Our explicit goals as well as current diet help determine which nutrients we may be deficient in or in need of extra. The supplements I am about to discuss are ones I take because of specific benefits I am looking for.
In general, I believe that a well balanced diet is sufficient for getting most of the micro nutrients and vitamins you need.
In my philosophy, a well balanced diet can be summed up in 3 sentences: Eat "real" food - Not too much - Mostly plants.
The supplements I include in my diet are not nutrients you would typically find in most food items, hence the need for supplementation. They are not listed in order of importance, just the order I found them in my cabinet.
